Food for Life Nutrition and Cooking Class Series for Cancer Prevention and Survival

Class line-up TBD. May include the following classes: Fueling Up on Low-Fat Foods, Favoring Fiber, Discovering Dairy Alternatives, Replacing Meat, Planning Healthy Meals, Antioxidants and Phytochemicals, Immune-Boosting Foods, Maintaining a Healthy Weight

This Educational Alliance eight-week series covers a variety of cancer-related nutrition topics and demonstrates how to prepare meals loaded with antioxidants and phytochemicals, high-fiber and low-fat foods, and healthy dairy alternatives. The series also includes a session on healthy weight maintenance and meal planning. Each class includes a nutrition video followed by a cooking demonstration and sampling of the delicious and healthy food prepared. Classes are open to cancer survivors, friends, family, and those interested in cancer prevention and healthy eating.

Food for Life cooking classes are offered through an educational alliance between the Saladmaster and The Cancer Project in Washington, D.C. Food and supplies are graciously supplied by Saladmaster of northern California.
